Responsible for the day-to-day operation and the continuing development of the Network Canada web site, the largest business and social group of expatriate Canadians in London. Duties involve weekly backup of the site and security accounts, mail and user account administration, and liaising with other board members to ensure the site is delivering value for their respective roles.

Network Consultant, Natures Outfitters, Vancouver Canada Providing consultancy services the computing and networking environment for the business consisting of server-client architecture, operating systems consisting of Windows XP, 2000, NT4 or 9x. Liased with outside industry representatives to obtain the best solutions (both technical and financial) for the companies computing needs
Site Implementation Leader, Manulife Financial, Toronto, Canada Deployed Manulife Financial's data communications Infrastructure release 2.0 COE to business unit sites in an enterprise environment consisting of over 6000 users. DCI 2.0 is a COE build consisting of NT 4.0 SP6a, Office 2000, Notes R5.05, Active Directory Services, IE 5.5 and Adobe Acrobat Reader 4. Responsible for all aspects of site roll out, including scheduling and planning, escalations and technical consulting, as well as co-ordinating with infrastructure teams (including Lotus Notes, training, server, networking, order desk, desktop services, security and helpdesk). Deployed the entirety of Manulife's native French speaking Group Benefits operation in Montreal for 500+ users.
Network Architect, University of Toronto - Beta Theta Pi, Toronto, Canada (Unsalaried)
Assessed the needs of the client then designed, tested, configured, implemented and maintained a NT domain with a gateway for high-speed access to the Internet. Operating systems consisted of Windows 2000, Millennium, 98 and 95. Was responsible for the physical cabling of the site, configured file and print shares for the LAN, and trained users how to access them.

Took the opportunity between assignments to travel parts central and southern Europe. Took part in tours and travelled independently. Cities visited included Paris, Barcelona, Nice, Cannes, Monte Carlo, Rome, Athens as well as Corfu Island.

Duties included raising proposals and change controls, assigning service requests and problem tickets to be completed. Was accountable for server reliability. Met with LUL client representatives to discuss projects, changes and major service requests. Team duties included user and group account management, file and print access control, maintenance and upgrades to the OSs, backup and restores.
Hot Stage Lead Engineer, Workplace 2000, London Undergrounnd, London UK, Lead the Hot Stage configuration team for the configuration of Windows NT workstations. Duties included maintaining service stability, security maintenance, backups, and account management. Performed technical assurance checks, on configured workstations at specified intervals. Responsible for all security matters relating to the hot stage area, including technical security to the server, and to the LUL networking environment, and the physical security of the working and storage areas.
Technical Audit Survey Leader, Workplace 2000 London Underground,London, UK, Provided technical support to audit surveyors conducting PC audits. Compiled reports on peripheral asset information and performed software based audits on IT assets running Windows 3.11 and Windows 95 operating systems throughout London Underground sites. Was responsible for scheduling the auditors to visit specific sites by liasing with London Underground representatives.
