Back in 2001, I became bored with simply posting my digital pictures on the web for people to see. Sure it was great for friends and family around the world to view, but it seemed as if they lacked substance or spirit. They were too static for my liking to be honest and with the development and advancement of flash utilities and compilers the solution was close at hand!

Instructions

All of the shows have stereo sound so turn up those speakers! If at work, you may be behind a firewall that does not permit you to play flash files. I started to use a myspace.com option in 2005 and hope to have all migrated soon. Note that there is a hidden "Play/Pause" button located in the very lower left-hand corner of the screen (follow the arrow) of some of the flash players. A high-speed broadband connection is strongly recommended. Please note that some videos may take a few moments to load and sometimes you will have to hit the play/pause button a couple of times to kick the show into gear. For the myspace player please use the expand button at the very lower right of the player; it will give you a bigger picture.

What's their story?

Cross Canada Parts 1 & 2 are about my trip across the country in the summer of 2001. Wish mom could have been still with us to enjoy the trip she had so long wanted to take. Bruce Beach Summer 2002 is from my stay at my cottage on Lake Huron in the summer of 2002. British Columbia is from my year spent out in Vancouver. Some truly great scenery for sure! Journey is my family dedication present to my brother made after some difficult times. Les Arcs France is about my ski trip in the spring of 2003 to the French Alps. Abbe and Rich's is from a wedding reception that I had the great honour and pleasure of attending in 2003 for two good friends as they started their life together. Flying UK 2004-2005 is my time spent flying with a colleague that year in the UK. Flying... one day I'll get my ticket! There are two choices of soundtrack for this one. Oilers Tribute is a self-titled thank you to a great Canadian team for an outstanding effort in 2006, just one game short in the end. Version 2 is with a different soundtrack from the original that works quite well that was suggested to me on a forum. Jersey Kidnap is the beginning of my prank on a colleague and her beloved Jersey that she won. Jersey Kidnap 2 is the continuation. Bruce Beach 2006 is from my summer trip home in the summer of 2006; some truly great memories!  I made Terry Fox London Run 2006 last October from footage taken from the run in Hyde Park mixed with footage from Terry's Original Run across Canada.  Canadian Thanksgiving 2006 was also made last October about my trip back home to Toronto and the Beach for Thanksgiving.  It's been recently updated with more sound effects and re-edited.   And most recently you'll find Dave Mathews' 2006 Christmas Cracker, my biggest project yet!!  Took six weeks to complete and is dedicated to my niece and nephew who I rarely get to see and to a colleague and friend who's family began to grow just before Christmas.  This piece has been a real crowd-pleaser! Meribel France Skiing 2007 Parts 1 and 2 are from my recent trip with my UK friends to the 3 Valleys skiing area. As you'll see we had a blast!

Above all... ENJOY!

- Dave
